Biliopancreatic diversion
Information about the procedure
The biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch (BPD DS) is a bariatric surgery with two components. First, a smaller tubular stomach pouch is created by removing a portion of the stomach, much like a sleeve gastrectomy. Next, a large part of the small intestine is bypassed.
